Quit Resisting AI - It Can Actually Help You (I Promise).

I don’t know about you, but when AI first came out, I dismissed it. I’ve gotten those annoying emails that sound like a robot wrote them. Stupid. Not a threat to me, right? Why bother? So, for a long time, I assumed I didn’t need to learn AI. I kind of thought it would go away when people realized it couldn’t replace humans in any real sense.

I was wrong. It hasn’t gone away. In fact, it’s getting bigger and bigger and I realized awhile ago that the smart reps are going to be the ones who embrace it. Here are three ways I used AI this week:

✅ To summarize a long customer quote with four different options into four succinct bullets for my email to the customer (took about 3 minutes, plus another 5 to tweak and would’ve taken me 30+ minutes normally to carefully craft a summary email).
✅  To create a detailed, research-based customer profile and analysis to assist with my first meeting and make sure I was asking the right questions (took about 10 minutes instead of hours).
✅  To update a PowerPoint slide deck with more modern images and visuals (it took me about 1/10th the time it would’ve taken me to do it without AI).

Here are a few things I DON’T use AI for:
❌  Writing boring, mass-produced emails
❌  Writing LinkedIn connection requests for me, which are also stiff and silly
❌  Writing my stories for me, that I use in my content and presentations, that are essential to making me who I am

Every day I find new uses for AI. You can too, and you should, or you’ll get left behind.
